“To love” and “freedom of expression and action” are the most important and inherent traits of a human being.

Generally speaking, we have a sense of belonging to a place where our ability to love and freedom of expression is maximum; Utopia is founded on this. To give an environment (both physical and social) where a child will feel that “THEY BELONG”.

The dictionary meaning of utopia may be a “place of ideal perfection,” but for us, it is “a place where you belong.”.

Describing this would be the most difficult part because what one wants to learn is completely unknown. Nowadays, conventionally the child is sent to an institute in which a curriculum is designed, and every child follows that. Yes, the design of the curriculum along with extracurricular activities is well thought out and is designed taking into consideration the average of all kids, but still, it has to be followed rather than chosen.

In Utopia, we try to expose the child to an environment that gives wings to the child’s inherent creativity or natural tendencies, and this will be our primary focus. The place might not follow a strict curriculum but a mix of activities and academic learning suited for the children of respective ages via facilitators in the given environment.

However, if the child does not accept the process and is not interested in things in the place and seeks other endeavors, then the child might be treated in the way the child wants.

Why another place ?

Calling Utopia, a school will neither do justice to the word ‘school’ generally as we know it nor to the place ‘Utopia’. Ideally, the majority of child growth and development should happen in a place where they are born with people around them, especially parents, but changes in social and cultural values have made this practically impossible. Furthermore, with the advent of globalization and the tremendous flow of knowledge and information from all directions, a parent is not more confused right now than they were ever. So after many deliberations and thought processes, the founders have come up with a “Utopia” open to the world.
